On January 28, 2010 around 1730 hours the box alarm was sounded for a townhouse fire at 44090 Saxony Terrace. Within minutes Engine 623 marked on scene with the corrected address of 44105 Rising Sun Terrace with heavy fire and extension to bravo 1 exposure. Striking the 2nd Alarm.
Crews from E623 and TL606 worked together stretching the blitz fire for a defensive attack as E606 advanced a 1 ¾" hand line to the bravo 1 exposure. Command (BC Kelley) put TL606 in operation to hit the upper floors. With-in 30 minutes the bulk of the fire was knocked. Hot spots were reached through the bravo 1, by breaching the firewall. Companies continued to work for 3 1/2" hours before returning to service.
No injuries were reported to fire department personnel. The homeowner was taken to LHC for injuries sustained from a fall.
