Never Forget
10 C Swift Water Team makes grab in Round Hill

Around 0830 hrs the Swift Water Rescue Team was dispatched to Woodgrove Rd in Round Hill for a stranded motorist in moving water. Boat610 and A610 arrived on scene and found a motorist that was 300-400 yrds from land in about 30 inches of moving water. E604, TL602, A614-1, ALS601, C617/B617, BC601, BC602, & SO600 already on scene and had a phone patch set up through ECC to communicate to the victim. BC602 had the command and crews preformed an IAP. The team from 610 deployed the blue raft with a crew of three and preformed a shallow water crossing to reach the victim while B617 was there for back up. Victim donned PFD and helmet and was placed into the raft and brought back to safety. Thanks to Captain Frye for the images.
