EMS Week

MAY 21 - As proclaimed by Governor Robert F. McDonnell, this week, May 20-26 is Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week in Virginia. EMS Week brings together communities and medical personnel to publicize safety, educate the public about their local EMS system, and to honor the dedication of those who provide day-to-day lifesaving services on medicine's front line.

Dulles South Public Safety Center Open House

MAY 15 - On Saturday June 9th , the Dulles South Public Safety Center, located at 25216 Loudoun Co. Pkwy, will conduct their annual Open House.

This is a joint open house held in conjunction with the Fire and Rescue Station (Loudoun County Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Management) and the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

23 "D" Runs A Double Flyout

APRIL 25 - At approximatly 1551 the Engine and Ambulance from Company 23 was dispatched for an auto accident w/ unknown injuries. The units arrived onscene simultaneously to find one vehicle against a retaining wall. Line of Duty Death in Alexandria - UPDATE

FEBRUARY 12 - The Loudoun Career Fire Fighters Association extends our deepest condolences to the family of Paramedic Joshua A. Weissman and the brothers and sisters of IAFF 2141.

Brother Joe Sullivan Retiring

JANUARY 29 - After 22 years and 4 months working for Loudoun County, Captain Joe Sullivan spent his last shift at Fire Station 19. We are happy to share this day of celebration with him. We were able to provide him with a hearty breakfast and lunch with a menu that he chose. Engine and Medic 9 came over for lunch to join us in sending Brother Joe into retirement.

Truck fire

JANUARY 18 - At 20:07 hours on 1/10/12 E619, ER609, A619 and BC603 were alerted for a truck fire at 43787 Beaver Meadow Road. While enroute a large column of black smoke filled the sky. BC603 added 2 additional engines, E623 and E611 and had a foam unit from Dulles put on standby. E619, A619 and BC603 arrive on scene to find two 18 wheelers fully involved.
