Multiple Loudoun companies on Brunswick, MD 2 alarmer
FEBRUARY 02
- Around 0820hrs Companies 12, 16, and BC602 were alerted mutual aide to Fredrick County, Maryland for the house fire. Brunswick Police Dept went on the scene with a 2 story house fully involved. E905 laid out from a hydrant and deployed a 2 1/2" line to extinguish the bulk of the fire on the outside and later pulled a 1 3/4" line and made an aggressive interior attack. JANUARY 30
- On January 28, 2010 around 1730 hours the box alarm was sounded for a townhouse fire at 44090 Saxony Terrace. Within minutes Engine 623 marked on scene with the corrected address of 44105 Rising Sun Terrace with heavy fire and extension to bravo 1 exposure. Striking the 2nd Alarm. 10 C Swift Water Team makes grab in Round Hill
JANUARY 25
- Around 0830 hrs the Swift Water Rescue Team was dispatched to Woodgrove Rd in Round Hill for a stranded motorist in moving water. Boat610 and A610 arrived on scene and found a motorist that was 300-400 yrds from land in about 30 inches of moving water. Retirement Party for Bones
JANUARY 09
- On December 11, 2009 Local 3756 surprised John "Bones" Earley with a retirement party. Bones retired due to injuries sustained on May 25, 2008 while fighting a house fire on Meadowood Court. During the party, Bones' crew and the Local presented him with a few mementos to remember us by. Afterward, everyone enjoyed drinks, dinner, and dancing. 1 Trapped for Rescue 613
JANUARY 04
- 1647 hrs communications alerted Engine Company 601, Medic 613, Rescue 613, BC 601 (Nally) and Safety 600 (Fry) for Vehicle accident , one overturned and one possibly trapped. Engine 622 added to the run due to their location. Soon after Safety 600 arrived with one car on its side, down an embankment with one trapped inside. Fire Station 623 receives a new hose wagon
JANUARY 02
- On Thursday December 31, 2009, the career staff assigned to the Moorefield Fire & Rescue Station in Ashburn, placed the new Engine 623 in service. The new rig is a 2009 Pierce Velocity Custom with some of the best firefighter safety features available.
